It’s no big secret that there is a lot of negativity in the world. When one bad thing happens in your day it tends to have a ripple effect and completely erases any positive things that happened. Negativity spreads like wildfire and consumes you, but yet happiness just doesn’t always work the same way. It just so happens that there has been a lot of negativity surrounding my life lately, and I wanted to do something to fix it.
My friend Victoria sent me the absolute perfect present at just the right time. She sent me a book called Instant Happy Notes (101 Sticky Note Surprises to Make You Smile) with a note saying it reminded her of me.
Sometimes you really need someone to remind you of the person you used to be before you entered the “real world.” And sometimes you need to stop waiting around for other people to make you happy and do things to brighten up someone else's day. As the book says, "Small doses of happiness can have a big impact." This book is just absolutely perfect and gave me great idea: start a blog and record the happy things that life has to offer.
So here is my happiness pact: I will post as often as possible, share the smiles, pay it forward, and record the little things in life that should make you smile. I hope I can at least pass on a few smiles!
